Domain Registration Privacy#
Network Solutions just sent me this. Maybe it's BS, but I should read it some time. It sucks that, when registering a domain you have to give public info because you KNOW that whatever email address you give is going to get spammed to hell.

Clark and the Economy#
People are still out there saying the Clark's big weakness is his "lack of experience" and his ability to deal with the economy.

Of course "people" are stupid.

What "experience" does the president need to have? Experience as a leader. Who could be a better example of a leader than someone who graduates first in their class, not once, but twice. Who could be a better leader than a General? A 4-star general for that matter. The guy was the "NATO Supreme Commander" for christs sake.

Economy? Clark has a masters degree from Oxford (if you don't know how prestigious Oxford is, then you probably arn't smart enough to work a computer and be reading this. After retiring from the military, Clark made millions working as an Investment Banker, but he has no idea about the economy.... right.... keep talking.

Clark: "Limbaugh's full of shit."#
A Clark volunteer posted online:

And one last thing; I got to shake (Clark's) hand (again). I said to him: "You said in Knoxville that we wouldn't be afraid of guys like Limbaugh. They are coming after you." He said: "Limbaugh's full of shit."

My vote has been decided.

How big is too big?#
So after putting in many late nights to complete this demo project, I find that it crashes on some WinXP machines, unless you resize the window.

Nice.

So what does Marcomedia say about large flash movies?

Don't make them "Big"

Did I say 4am?#
Ha. I wish.

Looking more like 5:30 or 6am. At what point do you just say "fuck it" and go to work early the next day instead of going to bed?

I am totally going to crash tomorrow. I really hope my client doesn't want me to stay there all day. I will be so tired.

Every build that I make with FlashMX is taking like 10 minutes (or more). I know I'm making a big swf, but this is frickin stupid.

I'm writing this as I wait.... just so I can check some changes I made 15 minutes ago.... progress bar is moving........ohhhhhhhh......maybe.......finally!!!

Clark In The Lead#
Wes Clark has the lead in the Democratic nomination race according to a new Newsweek Poll.

I hope he can keep up the momentum. He is getting some criticism for not yet coming out with his agenda, even though he hasn't even been in the running for a week yet.

Hard Drive Sizes#
Finally someone is taking computer manufactures to task for advertising hard drive sizes in a false manner.

Hard drives store BINARY data. 1000 bytes != 1 KB, 1000 KB != 1MB, and 1000 MB != 1 GB.

So what does that mean?

1 GB is really 1,073,741,824 bytes. So the result is that a hard drive that is a "150GB" hard drive is really only going to store around 140GB of data. You just got screwed out of 10GB!

Here is the story.

AD Traffic#
Just found this "Our Active Directory server is at address 10.50.100.36. Port 88 is Kerberos v5, and port 445 is microsoft-ds. The initial authentication gets two hits on port 88, but we get one more hit on port 88 in between a bunch of port 445s when we connect to the public share. Even when we transfer a file from the share, all traffic is still via port 445. "

The Next President Should Be Wes Clark#
Wes Clark announced his intention to run for the office of president of the united states. I have been following him for a few months, watch the pledges on draftwesleyclark.com grow and grow to over $1,600,000.

I havn't seen an area where I disagree with Clark on the issues, and his ability to beat Bush should be paramount to Dems who vote in the primary. Dean will NOT win against Bush. That is why the Republicans are not attacking him very much. They actually WANT him to win.

Clark, unlike Bush, is extrememly smart and hard working. While Bush is proud that he was a "C student" in school, Clark graduate first in his class at West Point. He was a White House Fellow, and a Rhodes Scholar. A four star general who won the war in Kosovo without a single loss of American life, Clark also speaks 4 languages, and has spent his entire life defending our freedom.

The word "freedom" has taken on a strange meaning in the last 2 years, as it is primarly used to quash any critisim of the president of his policies.

I'm not going to go into a rant here, but it's about time we get a man like Clark into office. I hope that Democrat primary voters realize that Clark is the man that can defeat Bush, and not Dean, when they cast their vote.
